A new clip from the remix. This time it's "Heart of the Sunrise" and it's labeled properly as a remix! :)
Great dynamics. I'm sure I'll like this stereo mix, but I'm so used to the original that it will likely remain my go-to in stereo. Right now, all I have is the '03 Rhino, but I grew up on a pre-Gastwirt CD pressing. It will be great to have a flat transfer!

after comparing it with older cd versions. I think it seems like a different piano take or something

Playing this clip via my HTC One M9 and out of sync or not, it still sounds fantastic. Very dynamic indeed.

There's already listings for a 4-disc edition of "Too Old…" on the French and German amazon websites with a release date of November 27, 2015, so I'm guessing more definitive info should be coming soon from Jethro Tull HQ. :)
Awesome, well it has already been confirmed now. Ordered! :-D

Just seen a full page advert for this in the latest edition of Prog magazine. The blu ray extras are the usual instrumental mixes and needledrop, but also "the original 5.1 album mix and America from the Rhino 2003 DVD-A edition".

This includes the SW 5.1 mix plus the previous 5.1 mix as well?
That's interesting if that's the case.

Honestly, I'm not sure I'm picking this one up.
Nothin wrong with the SACD, to these ears and I'm a little Fragiled-out.
I'm not in love with SW's CttE mix and I'm sure it will sell well without me.
Still, is there a confirmed best price yet?

From what I know, Burning Shed seems to be the best with the Blu-Ray (including shipping) coming to about $27.
So far, I haven't seen anything better than that.

Maybe the older 5.1 mix is what Neil W was referring to when he said: "Finally there are unannounced extras on this one........heh heh heh"

That certainly is interesting including the previous 5.1 mix...it certainly will be easy to compare the new with the old...I don't think the old surround mix was horrible..BUT..it just seemed to be a little compressed when you compare it to some of the other yes surround titles...

Hi everyone! :)

I'm pretty excited about this and I've pre-ordered mine with Amazon.co.uk as it's the best deal for me in Canada. As most people here, I cannot wait to hear this. This was my first exposure to Yes, and it remains my favourite of theirs.

To hear two 5.1 mixes of this will be quite a treat.

Roundabout was a big song for me...back in the day:walker

I've always felt that the songs sounded really tight, yet in a relaxed way, if that can make any sense. I think it's just the band at the top of their game. The songs are also a perfect balance of pop melodies pasted on a prog structure. To me, the whole thing really works.

Totally agree with you there Simon.
Although I got sick of Roundabout back in the day and liked other tracks much better.
I know many favor CTTE over Fragile.
I like CTTE but 1. 2 of the tracks are too long to support the music ideas IMO & 2. Wakeman became much more dominant on CTTE and to me too dominant in the sound.
Fundamentally, CTTE is an awesome recording to this day as both the Hoffman SACD and SW BD showcase.

I know Close To The Edge has a huge following, but I'm not much of a Prog Head and I'm more into Pop and Rock so Fragile is my fave. I actually like Going For The One and Tormato much more than Close To The Edge, Relayer and Tales.
