Fred, Doc said to lay off the caffeine and calories. :(

How about a remastered quad release of Humble Pie - Smokin.
The Q8 was done but nothing else, the mix reportedly hit and miss.
I've never heard it but,
I'd love to crank Hot&Nasty and 30 Days in the Hole !!!
While swigging down some Newcastle Brown?

That had other issues too if I am remembering correctly.
most probably, yes! 😅
tbh it's many years since i dicked around with it and the rip i play now has whatever adjustments i felt it benefitted from at the time and still sounds good to me, i probably rabbited on about what i did to it on here somewhere at some point, sounds like the kind of thing i'd do 😂

I bailed pretty quickly on that particular one. It just sits collecting dust. The rip just sits in hard drive Limbo, never making it to the library.

Wonder if Donny Hathaway's 1973 QUAD of Extension of A Man will be on the Rhino release agenda? How is the QUAD remix on this one?
some folks whinged over the years it was too reverby, Ralphie but i think it's fan-bloody-tastic and would go absolutely nutz over a Quadio release!!! 💘🤪

On the top of the list would be "Red Octopus". That was probably the best selling & most popular of the Grunt Quads. If it is, I hope they brighten up the mix a bit. The vinyl CD-4 release was always a bit bassy, not enough high end in my opinion.
fwiw i never particularly enjoyed the sound on my copy of the CD-4 LP but i have confidence that if they tackle that one, Rhino would Doctor the sound if the tapes sound anything like the murky old Quad vinyl 👍

for some reason they added a faux Centre channel to Stormbringer on that DVD-V!? really daft move 🤷🏻‍♀️🤦‍♀️ shutting off the Centre speaker altogether gets it closer to the original Quad but i agree with you it could do with the Quadio Blu-ray treatment 👌🥳
I have a toggle switch set up mounted directly at my gear rack that I can flip "center chan" on and off without touching the receiver or remote control. So I'm never bothered with anything in the center when it's a quad mix, I just hit that switch and center is gone. The Stormbringer DVD-V is just not so hot sounding for some reason. I think better mastering from a better lower gen tape might help.

According to Rhino's own website, only Jefferson Airplane's LONG JOHN SILVER and 30 SECONDS OVER WINTERLAND are part of Rhino's newly acquired GRUNT deal:

NOTE: List is partial and more titles may have been added since Grunt's acquisition in 2019!

I do have both Volunteers and The Worst of the Jefferson Airplane on Dolbyized QUAD OPEN REEL [Volunteers is not dolby b]

Only 3 RCA Jefferson Airplane titles were remixed to QUAD:

JEFFERSON AIRPLANE -
Bark. Grunt PQFT-1001 (Q8), R4P-5028 (CD4) [Japan]
Volunteers. Grunt APD1-0320 (CD4), EPQ1-0320-QF (QR), PQ8-1507
(Q8), R4P-5053 (CD4) [Japan]
Worst. Grunt EPQ1-1653-QF (DQR), PQ8-1653 (Q8)
I would love Volunteers since QUAD reel to reel some mixes are different especially Volunteers very acoustic guitar opening if I remember correctly.

While we wait, there's always the 5.1 surround mix of 30 Days In The Hole by Mr. Big on their excellent SACD release of their first record.

You mean when ZZ Top left London / Polygram Records with their entire back catalog (Including Tres Hombres) to Warner Brothers that quad tape got left behind?

No not really.

I believe that Universal owns the quad tape as they have the rights to early releases of the ZZ TOP Catalogue .
(Unless Miracles have happened.)

My mistake.... ZZ TOP have sold the rights to their Catalogue to BMG in 2021.
According to Variety Magazine.

So that means Sony has the quad rights to Tres Hombres, ( and Fandango )

There may be a big fly in the ointment though and i hate to think about it........if Universal had the quad tapes in their faulty Vault ?❤️‍🔥...well you know the rest...

If Rhino has the rights to those early ZZ TOP quads or quad.

Then I want desperately to have them release the quad Tres Hombres in the near future.
it'd be a biggy for us (us, us) and them! 😅 i've found "Tres Hombres" easily one of the most-requested Quads over the years from people wot's likes to surf the ol' interwebs and all that looking for treasures from ye olden golden days of rock 'n' roll.. nudge nudge, wink wink, say na more 😉🤐😅🤣

I did email request to SDE for 2 Jeff Airplane,, Worst and Volunteers plus in one of my old Quad newsletters there was a pic of Rod Srewart album, Atlantic Crossing lp with Quadradisc logo but that's when bottom dropped out never released but there is Quad mix somewhere. Oh yeah SDE never even gave me a reply form letter....LOL.

Checking out your list, didn't know about that Spanish SQ of
Alcatraz El Vuelo del Alcatraz (looks like a fairly low rating though.)
