I think that one is too early in their discography for what WEA has control of.My guess is Jefferson Airplane - Voluteers. The track times for the stereo and quad CD-4 are quite a bit different.

If it’s between LJS and 30 Seconds I hope the Quadio is the former because I recently bought the Iconoclassic CD of 30 Seconds and it’s not a great album IMHO.According to Rhino's own website, only Jefferson Airplane's LONG JOHN SILVER and 30 SECONDS OVER WINTERLAND are part of Rhino's newly acquired GRUNT deal:
https://www.rhino.com/article/rhino-acquires-jefferson-starship-starship-and-hot-tuna-catalog
NOTE: List is partial and more titles may have been added since Grunt's acquisition in 2019!
I do have both Volunteers and The Worst of the Jefferson Airplane on Dolbyized QUAD OPEN REEL [Volunteers is not dolby b]
Only 3 RCA Jefferson Airplane titles were remixed to QUAD:
JEFFERSON AIRPLANE -
Bark. Grunt PQFT-1001 (Q8), R4P-5028 (CD4) [Japan]
Volunteers. Grunt APD1-0320 (CD4), EPQ1-0320-QF (QR), PQ8-1507
(Q8), R4P-5053 (CD4) [Japan]
Worst. Grunt EPQ1-1653-QF (DQR), PQ8-1653 (Q8)
Unfortunately, Rang, LJS was NOT remixed to QUAD!If it’s between LJS and 30 Seconds I hope the Quadio is the former because I recently bought the Iconoclassic CD of 30 Seconds and it’s not a great album IMHO.
yes Mister P., i think Sony still control the Jefferson Airplane Quad stuffRCA ???
more specuguessing..... I did hear Jefferson Starship DragonFly in quad a few years ago and was blown away by how wonderful it was.
could this be one of the titles ?

Label: Grunt (3) – BFD1-0717 Format: Vinyl, LP, Album, Quadraphonic Country: US Released: 1974 Genre: Jazz, Rock, Funk / Soul, Pop Style: Alternative Rock, Blues Rock, Rock & Roll
Both, Rick! If you scroll down the list I've provided [from 2019/post #403]] only 2 Jefferson Airplane titles were part of the Rhino deal and it does incude Grace Slick's solo albums as well and a few other goodies!are we talking Airplane or Starship Ralphie ?
IMO, that WOULD be the obvious choice and again I have 3 of the STARSHIP QUADS on Dolby b Open Reels and all are excellent! Now that I think about it, a Grunt Quadio release is liable to be Starship , not Airplane
should happen in about 12 more pages to this threadAnyhoo, when is the official announcement expected for the 4 new discreet 4-channel Qaudio releases?
If I'm correct in that the Rhino Quadio series is only about a new digital format release of an old Quad album, then the only one that would be Quadio'd would be 'Tres Hombres'; because I'm not aware that any others of the ZZ varietah were ever mixed to Quad.
“Burn” Quadio would be awesomeBut I would agree that if we got Alice, Sabbath, and a Purple or two, or even three, we would be reaching a new milestone for rock music in quad and surround. "Stormbringer" got a European quad issue, at 16/24 (not real high-res sounding) - which is a rare thing to happen. I would not mind getting an upgrade of that title if the 4.0 master is in the WB vaults. But maybe we really need to consider Machine Head and possibly Burn first.
See I live in an apt. with retail right below me (they are gone after 6pm), and on one side of my living room, is a stairway next to it (no next door neighbors), So I am able to play music at louder levels than anyone in an apt is normally able to do. I had on AC/DC "Highway to Hell" album last week at good screaming levels that would normally break your lease. So even if I am getting older I'm not at all ready to stop rocking and rolling even at 3am.

America's Choice pleaseAll of the GRUNT Quads that I know of are :
3 from Jefferson Starship
5 from Hot Tuna
1 from Jefferson Airplane
1 from Kantner/Slick
1 from Papa John Crech
for some reason they added a faux Centre channel to Stormbringer on that DVD-V!? really daft move shutting off the Centre speaker altogether gets it closer to the original Quad but i agree with you it could do with the Quadio Blu-ray treatmentBut I would agree that if we got Alice, Sabbath, and a Purple or two, or even three, we would be reaching a new milestone for rock music in quad and surround.
