That's a good price! Of course, shipping will probably be expensive. . . .
It appears for a couple more days there is an incentive here

I just got this in the mail today, via CDJapan.
First off, I'm stunned at the quality of packaging design for the outer sleeve. The booklet and inner-sleeve design are beautiful.
The quad mix is great! It's a little aggressive at times and very immersive. This is my first time hearing it. I'm only about three tracks into it so far.
I'm also looking forward to hearing the original stereo mix in DSD too, which I haven't owned in a digital format before (I do own the Bitches Brew cd box set and the original vinyl).
It's pretty intense...it's not for casual listening

I listened to it all in one session whilst working …………………….but then I was crazy before I listened to it!Yes I agree Clint. I did a all listen one time through and I was crazy by the end, too much for me. There was another poster on this thread that said Bitches Brew, especially in 5.1 is better to listen bits and pieces at a time.
well that's because it's an SACD and pooches and kitties can hear the ultrasonic noise!I agree it is intense! My dog was taking a nap in the next room and after me playing about five minutes of "Pharoah's Dance", he got up and moved to a room further away from my listening room.
In case some of you "Bitches" didn't pick this one up(I had to get one more in)it's still available
The last one?
I have an opinion on the Japanese sleeves placed on discs. They Japan pressings of LPs is where the "rice paper" inner sleeves first appeared. This is a different material than a similar type of sleeves which at times appeared on German, or UK pressings. But I did see some Aust pressed LP which featured the real "rice paper type rounded bottom" inner sleeves. This was talked about in the Doobie Brothers Quadio thread, but I wanted to check it here, too. Should I throw away these plastic sleeves to prevent oxidization from happening on the discs?View attachment 107605
I have missed the discussion about these plastic sleeves.I have an opinion on the Japanese sleeves placed on discs. They Japan pressings of LPs is where the "rice paper" inner sleeves first appeared. Flash forward many years, other companies, many in the US started using a thin poly plastic inner that "resembles" the authentic rice paper type used in Japan. Or they used a poly inner (see 80's Warner Bros.) These later imitations, are somewhat like what appeared in the Doobies box set are by themselves made of a high quality material. It is their reaction to other plastics which omit gassing effect that can first create a fog on the disc, and later that fog and then the gasses actually burns into the surface of the disc.
The Japan SACDs and their LP pressings afaik are still using a rice paper inner sleeve, and I've never seen a problem like with a PVC sleeve on other plastic causing harm.
Look at the Japan SACD rice paper, and compare it to Doobies inner sleeve material and one will notice there is a difference. One is not the plastic and is harmless, the other looks sort of the same and has risk.
Someone on that other forum said "PVC gasses can poison and kill you, they can also fog your records.
