There's a lot of stuff that I don't currently have that I like $80 more than John Lennons Imagine.

I'll pass. It's just not that great of an album, IMO.

I thought it a very good but not a great album when it first came out; but listening to it now I find my opinion rising. Same thing happened with FM's Tusk. I see it is up to $84.97 at Bull Moose...must be selling. Hmmmmmm...

They usually don't alter the price...UNLESS the distributor increases it....hmm...like the one title that escapes me at the moment...maybe the Roxy debut album...not sure...

Discount houses now have it listed:

Import CDs: $69.86
Deep Discount: $84.14

That falls in line with the other outlets because Deep Discount will probably have a 15% sale before release...the only "wild card" is amazon US..I think what is holding them back is uncertainty about the volume they can acquire from the distributor.. and now that they have seen the competition prices....will they dive in the deep end of the pool...or just stay in the children's(shallow end)area...should be interesting..

I wonder if Barnes and Noble and Walmart might join the party....nothing yet...but it's early...

I'd still keep my radar out for another $70.45 delivered price from AmazonUK......unless it WAS one of those 'one shot deals.' Although that ImportCD price is excellent!

It's pretty close to that now...the first deal was $54.54 pounds at checkout...and now it's $55.57 ....here

Import CDs doesn't do sales as often as Deep Discount, but they have them occasionally. With any luck they'll have one in the next month, and that night be the best possible price. Especially if you're somewhere that they don't charge sales tax. (I'm not so lucky.)

I WAS going to mention ImportCDs 'very rare' 10% off sales but they're so few and far between I did NOT although I will admit, their regular prices on SACDs are usually THE BEST AROUND but do incur s/h and sales tax for some customers [the sales tax, that is].

No Ralphie...it starts out at 62.99 and with VAT removed it ends up being $55.57 pounds...take it thru checkout and you will see the end price:geek:

I didn't know you removed the VAT. That reduces the price by roughly 20%. Still, a GREAT pre~order price especially considering it's from rip off Universal! I'll keep that pre~order unless Wallyworld blows it out for LESS!

And Clinty, when are you going to initiate the LARGE TYPE QQforum edition for all us aging QQers? Wink, Wink!:ROFLMAO:and don't forget to dot the eyes!

Ralphie...you will be pleased to know that development has already started on the MD(MACULAR DEGENERATION)2020...and no it's not named after that wine from the 70's...it's being beta tested now at the Heller Keller Institute for the Performing Arts...and yes 2020 is the target date for full integration into vbulletin software..version 2.0 now has amsler grid patterns on the forum margins so you can monitor your vison while you post!

Eye, Eye, Captain!

Anyone who likes quad (and surround) should read and view this .
Excellent article btw , on the quad mix and all the "quadrasonic" engineers involved in 1971 . :)

Some really good info in this article!

The new 5.1 mix sounds really promising...mentions of John’s vocal in the center, choir and guitars “spread all around the listener, harmonica in “Oh Yoko” moving around the room, etc.
