Picked this Tony Bennett box set, Forty Years: The Artistry of Tony Bennett, up at Gurnee Mills in 1991. Played it in my classroom over the course of my teaching career. Must have turned a couple of thousand kids onto Bennett through this stellar 4 CD collection! I'm settling into the fourth disc right now. Simply gorgeous collection that is a true treasure!

I have the SHM-CD of CTA in a jewel case, which uses the Rhino remaster. It looks like X does, too. The Rhino remasters are disappointing in that they are fairly harsh and quite heavily compressed. CTA even has tape drag at the beginning of "Introduction." It's too bad Japan didn't do their own, superior remasters.

Jeff Beck - People Get Ready

I remember when Flash came out and it was not warmly received by all. But one reviewer said something along the lines of, “People Get Ready is alone with the price of entry.”

I happen to like a good bit of Flash, but that one song is probably the high point for me. Such a shame we never got another full album with Jeff, Rod and Ronnie.

Are you sure it's MONO. The newly released UMG/Impulse SHM~SACD clearly states STEREO on the front cover!
