As of this writing the gold standard for Van Halen are the 24 bit HDTracks. I am listening to VH 1 now at 85db .
24bit 192KHz, DR's are 12's and 13's.
I will buy the MOFI's cuz I am a collector but I am skeptical about performance.

Markie, maybe those MoFi VH SACDs are taking longer because they're going to be EXTRA GOOD! As long as they're from the original analogue masters, I'm sure they won't disappoint!

I went through one of those waits...over 2 years...and some people on here think Rhino was too long on the latest quadios...I remember talking to someone from Acoustic Sounds after a year had passed and asked them why they keep listing them as "coming soon"...no response

Did you know Ted Templeman producer/engineer of Doobie Brothers produced Van Halen? I always thought that was cool, but weird.
