seems to me that mr. wilson wants his new album to became the reference disc to test dolby atmos systems, and is succeeding.
last night i have listened the new track with my headphones and didn't impress me that much.
i have just finished to listen to it with dolby atmos speakers and blow me away, so much going on in the atmos bubble from everywhere.

just gave the Atmos of "Angry" a listen in 5.1 on the ATV, Mister Pupster.. musically not bad at all, Surround-wise seemed quite front-heavy idk?

anyhoo i'll give it another go in 7.1.4 next time i'm at the computermabob

That's great to hear. Wilco are one of my all-time favorite bands, and it's fabulous that they've found the wherewithal (and the interest) to move into Atmos--and to do it right.

Can anyone on Tidal supply the name of the Atmos mixing engineer?

He's been with the band for a long time now--and has engineered a ton of albums by A-list artists. Not clear that he's moved into Atmos, though. We'll wait and see....
