Also listened to Hearts tonight. I'll reserve my opinion after a second listen.
The AF Stereo Remaster of Loggins & Messina's Sittin' In is TO DIE FOR. Fu**king Unbelievable. It was like hearing it for the first time.....it's THAT Good. Now if we can only get L&M's QUAD FULL SAIL from AF....I'd be a happy camper :banana: ....even though I hate camping!:ugham:

I still have yet to receive my "Blow by Blow" SACD, but it's technically Quad, not 5.1, unless they created 'fake' center and LFE channels to make it a 5.1 disc. Can anyone confirm if they did that for this disc or not? (Not that it matters to me. I'm sure I'll enjoy it either way.)
There's a faux Centre and LFE on the old SACD, don't know about the more recent one in 7" single packaging.. which version have you got coming?

No, Adam. I'm behind the times.....a physical disc nut! Besides, when I treat my discs they sound like someone handed you the master tapes with a bow attached.

I own the SACD multichannel of Blow By Blow in the 7" package and is one of my top 5 reference surround discs.

A mch FLAC copy of your SQ Full Sail LP? How does it sound in 4.0, AB? I have the SQ Vinyl somewhere but am not set up for vinyl.
I have (what I call) the 2nd Multichannel SACD version coming. This would be the Jewel-Case Hybrid SACD that came after the Single-Layer Multichannel SACD but before the Japanese 7" package.

I have the Japanese 7" SACD which I believe is the same as previous versions. Yes, center is just front channels summed at very low level. Rather pointless. I love the disc BTW. Great quad mix.
Haven't tried an upmix because it's probably too loud but sounds good in fake, damn this is heavy!:nuke

You might be free of his music currently, but you certainly aren't free of his mixing! :ugham:
But I agree. It's a great album only made better by Steven Wilson's surround mix. (And it would be even better if it was actually a DVD-A like it's labeled, but I digress…)

...there's so many SACD versions of the Blow By Blow Quad (but not one modern version of the Quad of Wired.. ) I imagine the Surround on the Hybrid is also presented as 5.1 (w/needless imho) Centre & LFE but its been so long since I played any of the SACDs of BxB, the last time I played the Quad was a Surround Master decode of the SQ LP by yours truly (and rather spiffy it was too if I do say so myself! )

(btw I'm sure you could turn the flacs into a DVD-A or something.. though I avant garde a clue..
fwiw its one of the SQ's that didn't require much of a scrub with the fairy liquid as it was minty fresh when it arrived.. lmao!)
