Roger Waters - In The Flesh
So far, I am really enjoying this, which is saying a lot because I am COMPLETELY sober! Some of these songs have sounded amazing, (and in surround long before I ever had surround equipment (if anyone can relate)) before when I listened to them. The real surround is very well done, especially for a live performance. I will be ordering Amused To Death when that is released in a few weeks.
On a related note, Roger's "chat" that is printed in the insert was a good read. Check it out.

This just came in the mail

Nightwish - Once DVDA.jpg

Looks great!

Please let us know about the music and quality of the sound and mix.

The music is great and I like the sound and mix. It's not the best mix in the world but I know this album for a long time and I think the surround mix makes this album more interesting than just stereo. As you can see reviewing is not my thing :couch but this is a great metal album :)

Thanks! I'm keeping a lookout for both those Nightwish DVDAs...at a reasonable price. I just wanted to make sure they weren't awful or anything. I picked up Symphony X last week. It was pretty good IMHO, but I noticed it got some criticism here. So, I understand reviewing a Metal album can be tricky.

I'm a lousy reviewer in general, I just don't seem to find the right (english) words. The Dark Passion Play [DVD-Audio] lacks a bit of punch for me but I like it better than the cd.

To me they are certainly not awful, here's a thread about Dark Passion Play.

Blue Oyster Cult-Agents of Fortune SACD.....this is going to be a "work in progress"....the content is great...but..well...the sound quality...it's going to take some getting used to...it's not "love at first sight"...I wish I would have bought this one several years ago when the price was more reasonable...discs at this price point shouldn't be a "work in progress"...so from a value point of view...it wouldn't work for most people...BUT...I do love the content and it's not as bad as the poll on here would indicate..I'm pretty sure this would top the CD version..although it's slightly congested..it's not so compressed that you can't crank it up...I'm very sensitive to compressed music and this one is not an ear bleeder...I agree with Adam that this one has gotten a bad rap on the polls...after 1 listen it would get a 7 on the poll...it could get better with more spins...and the Reaper is why I bought it and having that song at my disposal....priceless..

Elvis Costello - North
I liked this one. It was what I call dinner music but with quite a bit of bottom. Maybe I just have my subs turned up, but it sounded great.
Ginuwine - The Life
Musically not really my preference but got this as part of a deal I couldn't pass up. It is very well done though, and even though it is not my favorite type of music, I would definitely recommend this. Great use of all speakers.

Doing a lot of packing today, so while I do so, I'm revisiting some of my favorite releases from this year, starting with the 5.1 mix of "Minstrel in the Gallery" :)

Now it's time for "The Geese & the Ghost", one of my favorite DVD-A releases of the year so far, along with "Trilogy" (which I'll probably play next) :)

I've just received The Moody Blues' On The Threshold Of A Dream SACD (I know, you lot have had this one since Napoleon was forced into exile, but I've got a lot of catching up to do and a limited budget). I've never owned the album before and I'm really excited to hear it in multichannel for the first time. I'm missing three more and will get them shortly. Dear Diary has just started, smashing! Excellent way to finish a challenging day. :)

Today's an Audio Fidelity SACD playlist for Day 2 of packing.

Starting with "Best of the Guess Who"
Not my favorite from a mix or fidelity standpoint, but the songs are fab! :)
