Phoenix - Labelle

this grabs you right from the opening/title track, Phoenix ("The Amazing Flight Of A Lone Star") which is still to me just jaw-dropping even in SQ Quad 🤪 but really every track is a surround workout. it may lack the big hit of Lady Marmalade but to me it's a better album and Quad mix than Nightbirds.. maybe one day we'll hear it discrete from the Wizards at DV! 🤩

Just ripped my new/sealed SQ copy! Great album and awesome quad mix.

glad you like it too! :LB
isn't it a cool mix, love stuff like the 360 degree footsteps, heavy breathing/panting, aeroplane taking off sound effects at the beginning of Spy For Brotherhood! :SB

interestingly for us Quad mix obsessives, its another CBS late entry from 1977 with Bass=RL/Drums=RR with no Quad mix credit, which i suspect was by Warren Vincent/Dick Bogert.. we may never know for sure unless DV choose to/get the chance to do it!
