I was thinking of posting this in the "Fake Quad" section but I remembered I should play along with the rest of you....basically a front only mix BUT great fidelity!

I wonder if the SM would pull the music apart more? I'm not set up right now. Waiting for the new version.

I doubt even the SMv2 can save this one, but hey if anything can... throw it in and let me know. I  but the first title to go in my new SMv2 might be "The Cars" - LET THE GOOD TIMES ROLL!
- Slight disturbance in the thread, give Pupster a spankin'; then I'll need to pay repentance and buy more Surround Gear:p

It was obviously taped so wouldn't it be splendid if a BD~V was released with a 5.1 remix by Elliot Scheiner!

That youtube vid. is another great performance by Phoebe at the German ohne filter. The New York Rock and Soul Revue was at the Beacon, don't know if there's video of the Beacon show?

There is no official video of the Beacon Show....and I haven't seen any bootlegs..I'll bet that vinyl version of the Revue sounds great...

My bad, JP. Since it was recorded DDD wonder if the multitracks still exist and since in those days [1991] Scheiner/Fagen were both into SURROUND ..... WE NEED A Hi Res 5.1 PHYSICAL DISC!

You're correct, Clint. I perused AmazonUS for a 'possible' DVD release and found NONE. But the reviews @ Amazon were positive [SQ~wise] for the DDD RBCD release which I'm sure Scheiner mixed/mastered. And you and I both love Scheiner's mastering....and the 1991 release date pre~dates Brickwalled/compressed RBCDs!

Not to get toooo far out of line here, but just because it's DDD, doesn't that mean the media it's stored on could still be 🤢 uh TAPE!🤮
