I'm new at this, so take what i write with a grain of salt . . . the size of Lot's wife: EVERY Tone Poet Audiophile Vinyl Reissue i've heard sounds phenomenal!

ORDERED! Thanks for the recommendation! The cover of my next spin looks a little different from Ma. I don't speak French, but i'm thinking this might be one of the darkest and dirtiest discs in my collection! Short (around 30 minutes) and sizzling and surging (pun intended) and sweet!

I'm a baaaad boy . . . a maaaal man! Two of the records i scored yesterday skipped, so i headed down to Dave's on the antepenultimate day of its existence. Spent a long time talking to Dave and browsing the stacks again.

I'll be honest, comrades, i'm feeling a tad trapped–encircled by my recently resurrected vinyl addiction!

Any hoo, Dave graciously refunded my money . . . and i gave it right back! Look what i came home with:

Well, at least i only bought a dozen today . . . though two are box sets . . . @GOS – lower right is for you! Well, not for you–because of you! Dave was sold out of Seger–I did look to buy that for you!

That Native North America box set is fantastic! If you haven't heard Birchbark Letter (on disc 3) then you simply must!

Man, i was crushed when We lost Prince. Two of the greatest shows i EVER saw were Prince (9 December 1982 and 24 April 1998). One of my students seemed equally devastated–he had just gotten into Prince about a year earlier and was working on being a multi-instrumentalist himself. Any hoo, he was so despondent for about a week that i brought in my vinyl of Purple Rain and gave it to him. You'd have thought i gave him a kidney! He was so touched. It was worth it. Well, now that i'm spinnin' again, i just had to get a replacement! Purple Reign!

I just bought the 3CD/DVD expanded edition after having watched the film for the first time at a bargain price of $21.00. (Best parts of the film are the stage performances) but wow, what an album. Every single song on it is great. It really rocks.

Did a LOT of Burnin' to this one back during my haze daze phase. My daughter golfed for a bit in high school. I guess she had heard this album a number of times because she used to time her swing to "Get Up, Stand Up," singing the lyric to herself on her backswing, downswing to impact, and then follow through. She had a pretty swing!

On the anniversary of Lennon's assassination, i revisited the five Yoko Ono CDs i own. They were fresh in my mind when i made the pilgrimage down to Dave's, so when i saw this one, i picked it up. Glad i did. Great release–limited edition white vinyl with bonus tracks on the digital download . . . and goodies!
