The biggest problem I have is trying to keep dust off the record. I can take an occasional pop here and there. A good record cleaning should help with keeping pops to a very minimum. I got back into buying vinyl a couple years back. If I could go back in time, I probably wouldn’t do it. Now that I’m stuck with a good stack of vinyl, I’m not looking back.
Yup! Now i won't even spin a new record unless i give it a good cleaning first. Makes a HUGE difference. I don't regret, as @edisonbaggins puts it, going back to the dark side. Brings me joy, and i can always use a good dose of joy . . . mmm, doses!

And, truth be told, I’ve listened both ways but prefer digitizing my vinyl because I need to use room correction to control bass frequencies in my small space. It still sounds fuller in comparison to listening to my CD’s. Besides, almost every new Vinyl LP is cut digitally anyway unless you look for an analog cut specifically.

Overture - Michel Colombier Jaco Pastorius - bass Colombier - synths
my fave track on above album (this transfer overmodulated, LP is NOT):

Following 2 albums featured Alpert, Bill Medley, Lani Hall, Paul Williams w/jazz men in US & symphony orchestra in France. Yellow is original mix.

Flying people drawn, later back/blue cover contains original recordings w/a few overdubs, mostly by jazz & symphonic players originally featured.
Bill Medley tracks reminiscent of BS&T w/orchestra.
Produced by Alpert Lyrics by Paul Williams
half vocal/half instrumental.
perhaps a bit dated, extremely ambitious, still unique
one of my fave albums
I bought '71 yellow on cass & LP. cassette has "memory band" at end of tape side 2 w/snippets of each track, flashbacks to even out length on cassette, LP does not.

'77 reissue, also released on A&M US CD in '86. Both of which I bought

Stick with pop-less and crackle-less releases! But i'm not gonna lie: there is something wonderful about holding a gatefold album, enjoying the graphics, and reading through the awesome listening notes as this beauty plays through the SM v.2 whilst i sit in the sweet spot of the quad room! It decodes wonderfully, and this particular pressing is pretty darn quiet (read: yes, i do hear the occasional pop and crackle!).

As I like to tell people, "It is a physical connection to music."
