Picked up the deluxe version at Sandy’s Records in Dee Why (SYDNEY) yesterday for $A154.95 inclusive GST. By my calculation this was slightly less than the price from Amazon France which would have included the same GST but would have had freight and it’s GST component as an extra. Was still in its factory box. Plus day of release. Grateful and impressed. Haven’t had a chance to play the blu ray yet.

ALL YOUR BASS ARE BELONG TO US! <old Internet meme, slightly re-phased>

Wow. In from work and there it was. Never heard the lead guitars so clearly . . . the "shoosh" sounds echoing in the rears . . . ok, I'm going to finish my first listen, then come back and gush some more :SB . <and phew! the blu ray plays (Oppo 103) (y)>

ATMOS ONE TIME THROUGH: He's dancing jumping up and down and crying, crying, crying because the bass.....I said Bass....is absolutely sensational....along with the clarity and what seems like infinite space....like a balloon expanding and contracting.........."I've never heard this before."......and I'm crying. They have made this one new.

BTW, GORGEOUS SPACE JON........YOU ARE THE MAN!

Yeah Jon, with a space like that, I’d never take it out in the car!

I don't have this yet, but when it came out 50 years ago, I played the record over and over again for months.

It would have been cool to have had a Q8 in the 1970s. I waited, but it never came. So, this release sounds like it more than makes up for that.

Right now, just streaming the extras from paid YouTube music.

One question: does the 5.1 mix have a LPCM option? Thanks.

Only DTS-HD in 5.1

Mine arrived yesterday.
Atmos knocks me out. Sound field is like as one point microphone recording. DTS 5.1 is more discrete, it's good as multi track experience.
Atmos listening position is more looser (wide sweet spot) than DTS. Try Atmos. Here comes the flood to your room!!

Enjoyed my first listen immensely. Very full sound with big bottom. Discrete in places without being overly adventurous. I'm hearing more prominence in drums, Moog and organ than I can can ever remember hearing. And it sounds great loud!

Of course, VERY curious now about Atmos ...

It would be worth getting Atmos especially for this album, let alone all the movies you could hear
