Not being lazy, well, not too much. I've been off the grid for 6 days more or less. Has anyone found a US vendor or elsewhere that ships to US that gets the price down closer to $70-80 as opposed to the nearly $100? I'm thinking I really do want to order this.

I'm afraid that by packing in vinyl and extra CDs we won't see much of a price drop on this one no matter who carries it. Since I'm very happy with the 2014 CD/BD set which has a lot of the same material, I'm passing on this release. Hopefully the Atmos mix will appear on streaming or a standalone blu-ray at some point, but $100 is just too much for it IMHO.

YMMV but I received 15% off on Rhino using code CC22SLA15WMG.

The Dark Side of the Moon ATMOS Blu-ray I pre-ordered on Amazon has been reduced by around 5 bucks now that its shipped. So it's a possibility things to drop in prices. You could in theory order the box on Amazon and hope for it to drop around shipping time.

The 2014 5.1 mix of The Yes Album that I got on my birthday last week, whilst knowing about the upcoming overpriced box with the ATMOS mix, is perfect 👌🏽. The album sounds like itself while songs like Yours Is No Disgrace takes advantage of bouncing the effects back and forth and left and right, making it's listening such a joy. That to me the what surround sound music is all about. Atmos on the other hand isn't just about overhead sound effects, rather the bubble of sound concept and it's characteristic relieving of the "unlimited" amount of speakers and instead focusing on sounds as objects in an space sort of leaves you dry.

I am still experimenting with Atmos since I haven't had much experience other than movies or Tears for Fears The Tipping Point. So I might be updating my stance on Atmos but the industry seems to be going there specially with Apple Music giving you a sense of surround sonic space using earbuds, so to speak.

I ended up ordering from importCDs. My total with tax and shipping is $81.21

I ended up doing the same $81.02 to Maryland is hard to resist.
I guess my state isn't as greedy (yet). :)

Even if Amazon ends up lowering the price it isn't going to be much less than $81.00.
Although, if they produce more than they can sell, $60 isn't out of the realm of possibility for Amazon (but I'd probably have to wait until spring for that price).

I honestly feel like Amazon US will not lower their price during the pre-order stage.

Perhaps some vendors at Amazon are learning that they have been losing loyal, Amazon customers I’m Blu-ray, and music discs because they have played games having prices too high! Perhaps! I’m thinking the solution here if it’s an item, not likely to sell out, is to patiently wait until closer to the release date to determine where to order it from
