I know....
But when you have 8 screaming kids from front, behind, left and right side a whole week,
then you wish yourself a mono recording. ;)

aww.. bless their little (screaming in surround sound!) hearts!

my speakers are my babies.. tho I don't have 8 of 'em blaring at me anymore since I went back to 5.1 from 7.1..! Wocka wocka wocka! :D

I love those paper slipcases!

I was such a fool to not buy more of these when the clearance sales were happening at places like Tower and Circuit City. I can remember picking up Avalon by Roxy Music and thinking should I buy this? I mean it's $20 and that's a lot for me to pay. Now I'd be looking at $100 minimum for one. I actually like the plastic slip cases better. My copy of Johnny Cash at Folsom Prison has one of those.

Les Brown & His Band of Renown - Session #55 (DVD-A)
Lauren Ellis - Feels Like Family (DVD-A, DualDisc)

Good to know I'm not the only SACD slipcase obsessive! I love the plastic cases too.. I retook a pic just now of some of my lovely card sleeve discs and dotted around a selection of as many plastic slips as I could fit on my little coffee table

I actually sold off my paper slipcased Meat Loaf SACD....can you believe that? There was a time when I had both the paper slipcase and the plastic slipcase versions for certain titles....like Gloria Estafan's "Greatest Hits". I ended up selling off the plastic slipcase version. I believe the only title I have that has both paper and plastic slipcase versions is Toto IV.

Oh no! :( the stereo Bat Out Of Hell!? Why did you sell it? I couldn't part with any of those lovely paper slipcases, I feel exactly the same way as you, they're a part of the package as much as anything.

Unfortunately some of the SACDs I bought from new were of that period where Sony Europe had stopped producing slipcases altogether just before the axe fell (my Jeff Beck Blow By Blow MultiCh I got in HMV for example came without any slipcase at all, it feels naked without one! LOVE the contents though! Woo-eee!!)

Toward the end of Sony producing SACD for the US market, slipcases were gone as well from those releases. For example, Duran Duran.

Here's my only photo of the "Bat Out of Hell" SACD that I used to have :( I just realized I sold that plastic slipcase Michael Jackson "Thriller" SACD as well.
