IT'S HERE!!!!!! Sort of a surprise since USPS site said '..set for delivery OCT. 1, TUESDAY'...
Earlier today, I saw the mail man drive away after leaving just a few letters in the box. I thought 'oh well, tomorrow.....'
Then abit later, the door bell rings & he's left a huge package. Yes, I recognized it immediately from all the youtube un-packaging videos.
....haven't opened it yet. After supper.
I'm pumped!! Like Austin Powers would say "......Yeah Baby "

One of the best releases of 2019. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Blu~Ray.com's stellar review of ABBEY ROAD:

Yes! And the fidelity is better than 1+, Pepper and TWA..........FINALLY!!! I went back and played Come Together and Here Comes The Sun on the Love album. The fidelity on this new Abbey Road release even exceeds that on those Love tracks which until now had been the gold standard for Beatles releases.

Agree 100%. Now if I only had an Atmos setup...

I saw some technical data on the streams posted online:

DTS-HDMA 5.1 96/24 at approx 7000kbps
Atmos (Object based) at approx 14000kbps

since Atmos is 48/24 there’s obviously a lot more data in the Atmos mix. I’m wondering if the 7.1 TrueHD 7.1 is independent from the Atmos object mix as there’s no other reason I can think for the Atmos stream to be so big. Normally Atmos streams are no more than 7000kbps.

The good news: my copy was delivered yesterday which according to Amazon UK was one day earlier than they expected or, from my perspective, three days later than it should have been. The even better news: I saved 4 pence with Amazon's pre-order price guarantee so the new Pink Floyd set is a bit more affordable. I managed a quick listen to bits of the ATMOS mix last night. Wow! After 50 years the Beatles are still leading the field.

My copy arrived from CDJapan yesterday, couldn't be happier. I listened to Disc 3 first and then the BD 5.1, awesome. I read about half of the book. My BD played no problem and for those who are keeping track my Blu Ray Disc says "Made In Japan".

Aren't the SHM-CDs also made in Japan?

This has nothing to do with surround but one thing that strikes me after listening to this a few times is how underrated a drummer Ringo is. Really solid with just the right feel. Especially enjoying his tom fills, which get extra weight and heft in this presentation. Definitely a highlight for me.
Ringo never sounded better as a drummer than he did on Abbey Road. Not with the Beatles anyway.
