[good-natured joke deleted because I suddenly remembered a well-earned slap from the moderator over a similar comment when I first joined a long time ago and how it could be misread ]

Now this one should be stunning in surround sound... but once again they bundle the thing everyone wants--the Blu-ray--in a ridiculously expensive box set. Is it too much to sell the Blu-ray/Atmos separately even if it's 50 bucks?
Who knows, maybe The Who will somebody approve a blu ray only release by SDE; after all, Pink Floyd did it with DSOTM(we can always dream 🤷‍♂️).

Just out of idle curiosity, did you contact your credit card provider and ask about the reason? I mean, it sounds like your credit card company denied the transaction, not exactly ImportCD's fault.
No. I'll tell you why. Maybe it's a sign. Since Idalia ravaged my place I'm hemorrhaging money. They probably did me a favor.

Or you can just enjoy it as part of your Apple Music subscription for no additional cost.

I've shelled out big bucks for some box sets that I really wanted - meaning that I wanted most of the content in addition to an included surround mix. After listening to the Atmos tracks for Who's Next on Apple Music I decided this was an album I'd gladly pay $25-$30 for a standalone blu-ray, but certainly not 10x that amount just to get it along with a lot of stuff I really don't want. There's lot's more titles coming up to spend that money on.

I agree with that this one was to expensive.
But to get this fantastic album treated like this by Steve Wilson including the other tracks from the Lifehouse era is just fantastic!
I have already forgotten how much it costed and will not think about it anymore.
The thing is that some albums are just to important and the worst thing that could happen would be if the people selling this would know how much i want it and really squeeze out the exakt maximum from me that i would pay and sell it to everybody for that amount. If that happened nobody else would buy it
I think this Bluray has definitely gotten the best surround mix compared to the other albums by the Who available in surround

Box was delivered today, from Amazon, $257+ tax so ~$275 ish.

All I can say is the BD & Atmos mixes better be worth it! The box is heavy and loaded with "stuff" - big book, a graphic novel (why??), and a sleeve loaded with goodies (?). No marbles or scarf though ;)

Seriously, while I'm thrilled to get my fav Who songs in Atmos, and the book is very nice, the bulk of the CD's are listen once sessions, live concert, demos, etc. The memorabilia are throwaway extras & even graphic novel to me is kind of pointless.

This $299 set could easily have been pared down to a half the CD's, the BD and sold for $150 or so. Maybe 180 with the book. You guys who bought this for 180 paid what I think is its true value or should be anyway.

I paid as much for this as I did the deluxe DSOTM set and I can't say I will do this again anytime soon. I pulled the BD out to put with all my other surround discs. The rest will go on a credenza shelf next to DSOTM 50th Anniv box set; I doubt I will ever listen to 7 of the 9 discs.

Next to box sets priced like this, Rhino Quadios are a bargain!! The music is all I care about, and surround music is really all I need. Forget the rest of the shit. Back in the day, PF Immersion sets were considered pricey but at $100 they were a bargain vs. these $300 sets loaded with unnecessary crap in an attempt to justify charging this much. The trend line for these box sets seems to be getting worse, with $200-300 becoming the norm.

I hope to be blown away by my favorite Who song, Baba O' Riley, in Atmos. Along with the other hits.
Otherwise, I'll be singing along with Won't Get Fooled Again!
While I agree that this box is wildly overpriced and that things like the graphic novel are completely unnecessary, I’m not sure we can dismiss the CDs as “one-and-done” listens. While the surround mix is the biggest draw for me, the 1971 SF live show is a HUGE holy grail for Who fans, not to mention all the demos and alternate takes, which in the case of the Who, are often as fascinating as the finished tracks. I suspect that I will be listening to the CDs as much as the Blu-Ray.
