My good man, you actually wound up on the "good side" of the river. ;) New Jersey is called "The Garden State" for a reason. Most New Yorkers who speak ill of New Jersey, frankly have never been there or actually dream of living there! Jersey has great pizza & both of New York's Football teams! Next time you visit we will have to get you some fresh Jersey corn when it is in season and some fresh strawberries. Go to NYC to get mugged or choke on CO fumes(or pay $25.00 to cross a bridge).

;)

I had many great times in Jersey. Love the beaches. A buddy's parents had a house at Ocean City, many a splendid day passed there, including a rocking senior week. Spent a lot of time running just over the bridge (Ben Franklin) from Philly on the Black Horse Turnpike, getting our first experiences in bars; when I was a teen, drinking age was 18 in NJ. I can attest to the wisdom of having all states have the same drinking age; not smart to give teens a reason to drive a lot to get alcohol.

There are many beautiful parts of the Garden State. The Turnpike is certainly not one of them. Now, the Garden State Parkway- that's a nice drive. And it takes you back and forth between all those beach towns. That's the best part of the state imo.

Seems like this one is highly anticipated. It BETTER be good!!

I don't think we have to worry, great team on this one, Steven Wilson mixing and Neil Wilkes authoring this, they have been a winning combination on all the projects so far, I think this will be very good indead.

It looks like amazon is starting to get in on the preorder game and in typical fashion for them do not have the information correct yet.

see its avail and based on price can guess the cheaper would be dvda and more expensive the bluray:

Ok, I'm new here and I really am trying to be nice & positive, but there is no fookin way I can wait until late October for this.:howl

If there was ever a recording that would shine in a discrete 5.1 mix it would be CTTE. How bout Going For The One, Tales From Topographic Oceans & Relayer next? Like the day after CCTE comes out... Doesn't anybody want my money???

It has been a very long wait for the majesty of YES to come to us in 5.1. My neighbors are gonna be pissed at me, that is for sure...

Just give your neighbors LUPINS to make amends for all your musical noise.

Hahaha, what if the neighbors call the police? What do I give them?

Take my advice-1. never! open the door to cops, 2. I tell them to get a warrant and you must bust in my door, as I will not open it to police. (I own my home) 3. tell them to eff off! Not too much they can do in my situation, and they have been here many times in the past 14 yrs. 4. know your local statutes. 5. know your rights under the law.

Take my advice-1. never! open the door to cops,......

Reminds me of the old Cheech and Chong bit:
"Dave?"
"Dave's not here"
"No this is Dave. Listen, don't open the door. There's cops out there"
"Wait a minute. There's someone at the door."
"No man, this is Dave. Don't open the door"
"Dave's not here. Wait a minute while I get the door"

......................or something like that.

About America:

Yesworld has only a 2.0 version advertised:
• America – Original Stereo Mix LPCM 192kHz/24bit flat transfer from original master tape

I sure hope the BS release info is right and America was mixed in 5.1. I love the 5.1 mix of America
on my Fragile DVD-A. I would love to know why Neil doesn't like that particular 5.1 mix.

To me it's horrible. Absurdly loud, terrible 'echo'/processing added, new parts flown in that should have been left in the vaults. I find it actively unpleasant to listen to, whereas I've loved the original 2.0 'America' on LP and CD for decades.

(knock knock knock) Dave, played by Cheech
Chong - Who is it?
Cheech - It's me man, Dave. Open up I got the stuff.
(knock knock knock)
Chong - Who is it?
Cheech - I said it's me man, open...up...I got..the stuff!
Chong - Who??

That's all I can remember. It's been stuck in my mind qll these years. After that, I remember Dave (played by Cheech) getting really mad because he sensed the cops and Chong refused to open the door. What a missed time is history!!! :smokin
