Funny thing about Latin, Dunc. In Parochial Grammar School I was an altar boy and I couldn't learn my Latin responses to the then Latin Mass. And then I was unceremoniously 'fired' as an altar boy when the priest tripped over my feet while delivering communion and loudly bellowed in a packed cathedral "Get The Hell Off The Altar!" He actually did me a favor: who the hell wants to get up at 7 AM on a Sunday morning to serve Mass. Thank you FATHER!

And yet in high school...I excelled in the language garnering an A average.

What a difference a year makes especially when dabbling in a MORIBUND LANGUAGE!

NOT to mention I was also expelled from SODALITY, a religious group organized by our 7th grade nun who was bat shit crazy. She said I was disruptive. And yet I won an award in 8th grade for having the highest marks in religion throughout my 9 years in that institutionalized Parochial grammar school.

No wonder I now believe in the BIG BANG THEORY!

An absolute STUNNING 3D MASTERPIECE! Am really not an animation buff but this film is MAGIC. On my LG OLED TV the 3Dness was EXTRAORDINARY!

Scoring by the Brussels Philharmonic Orchestra and the audio is 3D discrete as well. VERY HIGHEST RECOMMENDATION and under $10 @AmazonUS!

I did the altar boy thing for a year or two. It basically destroyed one summer, having mass every. freaking. day. until I got up the nerve to complain. I didn’t have to understand the Latin - it was all phonetic, but they had cheat sheets (I think they were called “altar cards”). I took a year of Latin as a freshman in HS, then two years of German, which served me well when the Army sent me to (poorly) deter Soviets in Europe.

Watched this film last night and would highly recommend! The performances by the three young amateur leads were excellent and Martin Sheen as a local priest and Rooney Mara as his assistant added gravitas to the horrifying treatment of poor people in the corrupt country of Brazil and the survival instinct for justice which drives the three young protagonists to do what they did! Picture and sound are excellent!

Shame that the 4k Friends is still the shorter broadcast versions from the Bluray and not the extended ones from the DVD release.
It wouldn't matter to me but the missing time from each episode is jarring to my wife who knows the episodes better than my own face.

I think so. I am hoping this becomes a trend, although I won't be getting the Friends set.

Game of Thrones has the whole show in Dolby Vision/Atmos on 4K discs, but that’s also a modern show that likely planned for 4K from the start.

That said, Janus Films, parent company of the Criterion Collection has been posting still images from all Twin Peaks media on their twitter (season 1, 2, FWWM, The Return), as well as other Twin Peaks related ephemera (like a still of the Sesame Street parody Twin Beaks) leading people to think that some sort of 4K Criterion Collection Twin Peaks set is coming soon (if so I’m first in line)
