THANK YOU SERGIO..........I'll be stalking my mail carrier
@quicksrt, I must have gotten the date wrong. I didn’t have the energy to look up the post where we talked about it previously, so forgive the misinformation.Your entire post is worth replying to, but to cut right to the chase, has the Cooper Band album reissue w/ quad been confirmed for 10/26???
A Saturday release, so cool!
I think your right, and I think MOL is coming with quad, (and an "alternate album" of outtakes is to be included).@quicksrt, I must have gotten the date wrong. I didn’t have the energy to look up the post where we talked about it previously, so forgive the misinformation.
Foraging Rhino didn’t confirm directly the release of MOL, but I thought he came really close earlier in this thread when he mentioned alternate takes on some set, so I’m hoping real hard. If I’m wrong, it’s money saved for another Quadio.
The four titles confirmed by foraging rhino are:I'm surprised no one guessed "The Best Of Bread" for the top one. That's my guess. I hope the "Energized" , Bloodshot", & "Toulouse Street" guesses are right.
@quicksrt, here’s the first reference to what we think could be MOL from page 22 of this thread. The date is 10/25, my bad.I think your right, and I think MOL is coming with quad, (and an "alternate album" of outtakes is to be included).
It's just the date of release I never saw confirmed. Just supposed to be in Oct. I need that date confirmed!!!
Copy ‘n Paste looks fine to me.@quicksrt, here’s the first reference to what we think could be MOL from page 22 of this thread. The date is 10/25, my bad.
Forgive the bad paste:
Foraging Rhino
The Quadio guy
Just so ya know, there is another Quadio release scheduled for 10/25 as part of an expanded edition for general release.
More details to follow, I'm sure!
Now that Starship has been given a second released album, it might not be that long until another S&C, or Gordon Lightfoot arrive with that James Taylor title. Add vintage Carly Simon to the bundle and that might make your picken’s perk up!Meh. For those who already have the Doobies Quadio box and who aren't into rock these are slim pickin's. Hoping for a more varied group next time around, maybe a James Taylor or David Gates?
I'm in that same boat. Can't afford all the best components, but I still like great sound. My receiver is 24 years old, but has analog multichannel inputs, and still sounds as great today as it did then, I've changed speakers a few times, but the Polks I'm using now are terrific. This time around, on the Quadio releases, there's only one that interests me. I already have it; it's the Doobie Brothers' box set, so "Toulouse Street" is already in my collection. What I'm really looking forward to is the Atmos mixes of all of ABBA's studio albums. I'm hoping they'll be released on BD-A, although it's possible they'll be downloads only. Time will tell. (Not seen in the picture are my SM V.3; Pro-Ject Phono Box 2; Polk speakers. Barely seen is my Technics 1200mk2, with Denon DL-110 cartridge (among several others).I’ve noted that my standard is “pretty good.” A/V gear isn’t at the top of my list of things I spend money on. Note that I haven’t had a working turntable for six years.
So I don’t nave a Trinnov pre-pro (it’s Marantz, which is pretty darn good) and I don’t have Kaleidascape, and I’m not particularly envious of those who do.
We all have limitations as to what we can afford, and media isn’t usually expensive (yeah, I know about the latest George Harrison farce), so gathering up media that’s available today but maybe not something you can fully appreciate with your present setup won’t ruffle my feathers. I own plenty of discs with Atmos that I can’t hear.
"The Best of Bread" was already released by Audio Fidelity a while back. Rhino may be taking that into account.I'm surprised no one guessed "The Best Of Bread" for the top one. That's my guess. I hope the "Energized" , Bloodshot", & "Toulouse Street" guesses are right.
Looks like the stack meets my “pretty good” standard!I'm in that same boat. Can't afford all the best components, but I still like great sound. Have you seen the price of a used BoB?"The Best of Bread" was already released by Audio Fidelity a while back. Rhino may be taking that into account.
