Is anyone else having issues running the Foghat disc in MakeMKV?
I am listening to the Foghat ripped from MKV, tagged with MMH and had no problems.

Speaking of Foghat-Energized, the first song Honey Hush, the riff sounds so much like Aerosmith's Train Kept A Rollin, just can't get it out of my head. So I had to do a quick research and I was correct.
  1. "Honey Hush" – 4:19 (Big Joe Turner as "Lou W. Turner")

I totally missed these releases as I wasn't into reading a "speculation" thread and never noticed if there was an actual release announcement thread. At least they are readily available. Oh well, I guess I'll check in on the batch 7 speculation thread a little more often.

You didn't really totally miss them. They just went on sale, and are now ready for your ordering. Still brand new releases that have not yet arrived for everyone.

"Honey Hush" was recorded in 1956 by Johnny Burnette And The Rock 'N Roll Trio. Foghat likely covered this recording for their version. I think they said as much. But I don't have the quote handy.

Arrived yesterday, but picked em up today as Purolator couldn't fit em in my mail box.

Bought : Foghat , J Geils, Starship , and a substitute for Doobie Bros, namely
Duke Ellington.

Anyone else notice that those little red stickers which usually all say 1970's ,
but I have one say,
1974 !
I usually put those stickers in the booklets , hope I got the 74 one right , with Jefferson Starship Dragon Fly.

Playing Foghat now,..... and yes (and hurrah) "Step Outside" contains plenty of action in the quad panning department!!

I'm going to enjoy this batch .@ForagingRhino

Thankyou Quadio Steve, ....and all at Rhino....just keep 'em coming.☺️

Once again, the whole Rhino shipping setup disappoints. Rhino must get some huge discount to continue to use Gnarlywood who uses the cumbersome UPS Mail Innovations which for the 2nd time is unreliable in transferring to USPS. This is the 2nd time my Rhino package got dumped to a USPS facility NEAR ME, which takes 2 days to sort, then it goes to the WRONG PO, who has to send it back to the sort facility to be reassigned to the correct one. On the last bundle #6, the shipping label was haphardly slapped on the edge of the box, not in a position to be read by a scanner so manually by someone who looks at it. With that kind of labeling, it's no wonder it gets set aside for someone to manually sort it and sorted wrongly.

Lousy packaging, lousy labeling.

While the wrong post office isn't Rhino's fault, their process uses a delivery method which is error-prone.

Why not ship it via UPS directly OR USPS directly! Even USPS Media Mail! Sheesh.

Dam it, if it costs more to ship, then PASS the cost to the buyer! While I appreciate the free shipping possibility, most of us can afford to have it shipped by a reliable method and would still pay it anyway.

What is wrong with this company?

I get my orders from CD Japan to my house in metro Atlanta in 2 days! Yes, I pay ~`$20 for that but still. I get my SDE orders in about a week, tracking from Royal Mail through customs to USPS in NYC area then to Atlanta to me, all for 8 GBP. ZERO issues, not once. Same with all orders I've placed with Acoustic Sounds & MusicDirect. Packaging is excellent, labeling is correctly done, shipping is reliable. Arrival time is reliable.

With Rhino, it's a total crapshoot when they ship, get a notification, when the actual ship is done (in this case, about 4 days AFTER Rhino says it shipped when they really mean they have notified Shitwood to ship).

2 days from Japan versus 2 weeks from start to finish with Rhino-UPS Mail-USPS and hope there aren't delays and fumbles along the way.

I love Rhino for Quadio & Atmos releases but hate their flawed fulfillment, about the worst for online ordering in my experience. I even have to disable adblockers and extensions on 2 different browsers to even have the order go through without throwing an error.

If it weren't for the Quadios, I wouldn't bother with this company at all.

Really a shame.

I don't mean to come off as ungrateful for Rhino's commitment to releasing these great quad titles or to ForagingRhino for marketing them.
But there's not much excuse for continued order entry errors & various shipping issues many of us have. Sometimes it goes well, sometimes not. But look at the volume of issues & complaints from Day 1, Bundle 1.

If Rhino wants to be a player in online music sales, then they should step up to plate and be a player. That means proper back-end server side processes that don't throw errors or choke on a payment method PLUS getting a good fulfillment company who doesn't use the cheapest, error-prone way.

Otherwise, remain a bit player who happens to fill a niche. Maybe that's all they aspire to be.
Even at that, companies like SDE UK, CD Japan, Acoustic Sounds, Elusive Disc, Music Direct all run circles around them.

Unless one needs to have it immediately after release (and let’s be honest, most of us here probably are in that group) a little patience means one can avoid Gnarlywood and get it from Amazon, Acoustic Sounds, etc, after Rhino is done with their exclusive window.

I looked just a moment ago and most (if not all) the single Quadios other than the latest batch are available on Amazon, sometimes for a few bucks off to help compensate a little bit for the the lack of Rhino discount code.

(Love Acoustic Sounds for packaging as I’ve been buying a lot of vinyl recently. You get the feeling they care about your shipment getting to you safely and efficiently.)

My "modified" bundle arrived to me in the UK today, no breakages surprisingly considering the packaging and delivery method by Evri. The three in super jewel boxes were in a cardboard pack the Alice Cooper was loose in a plastic bag, the Evri delivery person had shoved the Alice through the letterbox and the rest was hanging outside.
Muscle Of Love was the first in my machine and sounding very good, better than the SACD I think. Next the Foghat really enjoyed that, chugs along nicely, fidelity seemed a mixed bag to me some instruments clear as a bell while others sounded a bit muddy, next is gonna be J. Geils then Dragonfly and I know that is going to sound far superior to the DVDA conversion I have now.
